IDW Supermount F and Qstand Tripod for Smartphone and Tablet Review…

Most of us don't really think about using a mount to hold our phones or even think about using one for our tablets? If you are, there is several mounts that are available but not all really built the same or work as good.

Since I am always looking for ways to hold my phone or camera that I use for shooting video or taking quick snapshots by using the voice command, I would always look for a place to stand the camera. I ran across the IDW Supermount F and Qsnap which you can pick up at Amazon. Made out of great quality aluminum, making the Supermount F and Qstand light weight to carry around.

As I have mentioned the Supermont F and Qstand, is made of light weight aluminum alloy. It is available in Silver, Gold, Blue, Gray and a Berry colors.

The Supermount F allows me to use it to mount the Nexus 7 (2013) or my Galaxy Note 3 on my tripod to take pictures or working in the field and be able to up load the pictures directly to my devices for quick uploading to social media, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc… without having to juggle the tablet or phone in a separate hand. In the past I would have lay the tablet or phone on a table, this was okay, but now having attached is much more convenient and easier to edit or adjust what I need to do.

 
The Qstand is flexible and you can quickly wrap on most type of round poles, branches, bikes, and many more. It takes me about 20 seconds to wrap or create a stand with the Qstand. The Qstand has enough grip to hold on various surfaces or round poles and keep it from sliding down. This has been a plus, since lately it has come in handy attaching the Qstand to poles or slippery surfaces.

A good tip, when using the Qstand with the Supermount F, keep the top as short as possible. This helps to balance your tablet or phone by keeping the top as short as possible. Also keep in mind that I wouldn’t recommend to use the Qstand and Supermount F on bigger than 7-inch tablets. I tested the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and lets just say, I wouldn’t trust having the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 holding on. But I do find that it works great from 7-inch devices and down.
