After spending some time testing the GoPro MISSION 1 PRO, I'm starting to see why this camera may become my new go-to camera for VLOGGING, travel and product reviews.
I've only had the Mission 1 Pro for a relatively short period of time, but I've already had the opportunity to use it in several different situations. So far, I've been very impressed with the overall video quality and how useful this camera has been for everyday shooting.
A Great Camera for VLOGGING and Travel
One of the biggest things I've noticed is how well the Mission 1 Pro fits into my VLOGGING setup.
For travel and vacation use, having a camera that can produce high-quality video without needing to carry a larger camera system is a big advantage. The Mission 1 Pro gives me a compact setup while still delivering the image quality I'm looking for.
I've also used it for several product review videos, and so far I've found it to be very usable for that type of content as well.
Impressive Low-Light Performance
Another area that has impressed me is the low-light performance.
I don't normally do a lot of filming in very low-light situations, but it's reassuring to know that the Mission 1 Pro is capable when those situations come up. Whether I'm filming in the evening, indoors or during a sunset, having that additional capability gives me more flexibility.
Mission 1 Pro vs. an Action Camera
The Mission 1 Pro is somewhat heavier than the DJI Action 6 that I had been using, but for me, the additional weight is worth it for the improvement in image quality I'm getting.
This isn't simply a small action camera designed primarily around portability. GoPro has taken the Mission series in a different direction, combining a compact and rugged design with a 1-inch sensor and much more advanced video capabilities.

My Experience So Far
At this point, the Mission 1 Pro is becoming one of my favorite cameras to use for VLOGGING and travel.
I'm still testing it and haven't made my final judgment yet, but my experience so far has been very positive. The combination of image quality, stabilization, low-light capability and the ability to shoot 8K gives me a lot of flexibility.
For someone who wants a camera that can handle VLOGGING, travel, product reviews and everyday shooting without stepping all the way up to a larger interchangeable-lens camera, the Mission 1 Pro is proving to be a very interesting option.
I'll continue testing the Mission 1 Pro and will share more videos as I put it through different shooting situations.
