Inside Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 – Robots, AI, Self-Driving Lawn Mowers & Next-Gen OLED TVs

Inside Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 – Robots, AI, Self-Driving Lawn Mowers & Next-Gen OLED TVs

The future of technology isn’t years away — it’s already here, and it’s happening right now at CES 2026.

Walking the show floor this year felt like stepping into a sci-fi movie. From interactive robots that can play games with humans to fully autonomous lawn mowers and stunning next-generation OLED displays, the innovation on display proves that AI and robotics are quickly becoming part of everyday life.

One of the most memorable moments was watching a robot play tic-tac-toe against a real person. It may sound simple, but seeing a machine recognize moves, respond in real time, and naturally interact with a human shows just how far robotics and AI have progressed. These aren’t just tech demos anymore — they’re real, practical systems that are learning to work alongside us.

I also got hands-on time with advanced robotic hands and AI-powered machines designed for precision, dexterity, and human-like movement. The level of control and responsiveness was impressive and gives a glimpse into the future of automation, assistance tech, and even healthcare applications.

Outdoor tech is evolving fast too. Segway showcased their autonomous Navimow robotic lawn mowers that can map your yard, navigate obstacles, and maintain your lawn without boundary wires or manual control. It’s smart home tech taken outdoors — and it actually works.

On the display side, LG continues to push the limits with their newest OLED TVs. The brightness, contrast, and color accuracy are on another level, making movies, sports, and gaming look incredibly lifelike. Their latest panels show just how far OLED technology has matured.

CES 2026 makes one thing clear: robots, AI, autonomous machines, and smarter displays aren’t concepts anymore — they’re becoming everyday tools that will change how we live, work, and play.

If you love future tech, robotics, smart home gadgets, and hands-on CES coverage, this is just the beginning. More videos and breakdowns from the show floor are on the way.

AirSkins Hands-On at CES 2026 – The Thinnest, Most Stylish Protection for Your Earbuds

At AirSkins booth at Consumer Electronics Show 2026, I got a quick hands-on look at one of the simplest — but coolest — accessory upgrades for wireless earbuds this year.

If you love customizing your gear while keeping it protected, these ultra-thin skins might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

First Impressions

AirSkins are precision-cut, adhesive skins designed to wrap around your earbuds and charging case like a factory paint job. Once installed, they don’t look like stickers at all — they actually look built-in.

The finish is clean, smooth, and incredibly thin.

No bulk.
No weird edges.
No cheap “sticker” look.

Just a sleek, customized finish that feels almost permanent.

What Makes AirSkins Stand Out?

Here’s what impressed me most during my demo:

  • Precision-cut for a seamless, custom fit

  • Ultra-thin material that stays lightweight

  • Scratch-resistant protection for everyday use

  • Strong adhesive that doesn’t peel or lift

  • Bubble-free installation

  • Wireless charging still works perfectly

  • Removes cleanly with no sticky residue

  • Tons of designs and styles to choose from

You can go minimal and classy or bold and fun — stars, skeletons, rockets, paws, and more.

There’s something for every personality.

Bonus Test – Not Just for AirPods

Even though they’re designed specifically for AirPods, I decided to experiment.

With a little patience and careful placement, I was actually able to manually fit a set onto my Bose QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 earbuds. And honestly? It worked surprisingly well.

They looked awesome and still felt super slim — like the design melted onto the surface.

So if you like DIY customization, you’ve got options beyond just AirPods.

Who Are These For?

AirSkins are perfect if you:

✔ Want protection without bulky cases
✔ Like customizing your tech
✔ Get tired of scratched earbuds
✔ Want something that looks clean and premium
✔ Prefer lightweight over heavy covers

If thick silicone cases aren’t your thing, this is a much better alternative.

Final Thoughts

Sometimes the best accessories are the simple ones.

AirSkins don’t add weight or change how your earbuds feel — they just make them look better and stay protected. After seeing them in person at CES, I can definitely see why they’re getting attention.

If you want to make your earbuds stand out while keeping that sleek, original feel, these are absolutely worth checking out.

Watch my quick hands-on video above to see the designs and fit in real life.

TCL Note A1 NXTPAPER Hands-On at CES 2026 – A Paper-Like Android Tablet That Actually Works

While walking the show floor at CES 2026, one tablet really surprised me — the TCL Note A1 NXTPAPER. At first glance it looks like a regular Android tablet, but once you start writing on it, you immediately notice how different it feels.

After spending some time testing it out, the tablet felt solid and well built. Writing with the included stylus was extremely responsive with no noticeable lag. Notes appeared instantly, and the experience felt natural — closer to pen and paper than glass.

The standout feature is TCL’s NXTPAPER display technology. Instead of the typical glossy screen, this tablet uses a matte, anti-glare surface that cuts reflections and adds a subtle texture. It not only reduces eye strain but also makes writing feel more controlled and comfortable.

And unlike E-ink tablets that are slow or limited to black and white, this is still a full-color LCD tablet. That means you can browse the web, watch videos, read books, and use apps normally. Thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate, everything scrolls buttery smooth.

In short, it feels like a digital notebook and a full Android tablet combined into one device.

Why It Stands Out

• Matte paper-like screen with reduced glare
• Smooth and fast 120Hz display
• Very natural writing feel with included stylus
• Full color LCD (not E-ink)
• Thin, lightweight, and portable
• Great for students, work, and everyday productivity

First Impressions

From my short time using it at CES, the TCL Note A1 NXTPAPER felt polished and practical. The matte display made it easy to see under bright lights, writing felt instant and smooth, and the 120Hz screen made everything feel fast and modern.

If you want something that can replace your notebooks but still function like a normal tablet, this could be one of the most interesting productivity devices coming this year.

Peak Design Everyday Backpack 20L — Why I Love It (and Which Color I Chose)

I’ve been using Peak Design gear for a long time, and the Everyday Backpack 20L is one of those pieces that just works whether I’m out on a hike, traveling, shooting photos, or carrying everyday essentials.

What’s Great About the Everyday Backpack 20L

  • Perfect size (20 L): For me, this is the sweet spot; it’s spacious enough to hold camera gear + extra items, but not so large that it becomes bulky or cumbersome for everyday use, hikes, or travel.

  • Versatile uses: I regularly use it for:

    • Camera gear (when I’m shooting photos on hikes or trips)

    • Everyday carry: clothes, laptop/tablet, water, snacks, and personal items

    • Travel & vacations — as a carry-on or day-pack

    • Hiking & outdoor adventures — it’s light enough for long walks, but structured and roomy enough for all my gear

  • Comfortable to carry: The shoulder straps are wide and well-padded enough that even when the backpack is loaded heavily, it doesn’t dig into you or feel exhausting at least in my experience.

  • Balance of portability and capacity: 20 L hits a sweet middle ground, not too small, not too big. For me, that means I get plenty of room without sacrificing comfort or practicality.

Build Quality & Design (What We Know)

The Everyday Backpack 20L is built to be durable, versatile, and quality-oriented. It’s designed to handle camera gear safely, but also to transition seamlessly into a travel / everyday / hiking backpack when I’m not carrying cameras. The design includes devoted internal space and structure for gear, while still feeling sleek and light enough for daily carry.

My Review: Kelp vs. Coyote — Which I Chose & Why

In the video, I tested both colorways: Kelp and Coyote. I will let the viewers know at the end, which colorway I will be choosing.

Why Kelp? It mostly comes down to maintenance and practicality. While the Coyote looks great, many users (and my own experience) show that the lighter tone/material stains easily and can be hard to clean. Mine already had a noticeable mark straight out of the box. For regular use (everyday carry, hiking, travel, photos), I decided Kelp would stay looking nicer and require less care over time.

My Verdict

For me, the Everyday Backpack 20L hits the mark more than any other pack I’ve tried. It adapts to everything I throw at it — camera gear, travel gear, hiking essentials, daily carry, without feeling like a bulky luggage bag. It’s light, comfortable, roomy, and versatile.

If you want a backpack that works for photography, travel, hikes, vacations, commuting, and daily life reliably, comfortably, and in a size that’s just right, the Everyday Backpack 20L is a top contender. And, if you ask me, go with Kelp for easier upkeep and long-term practicality, and really like the color!

Capture Cinematic Video on the Go with iPhone 17 Pro

Want cinematic-quality video without the hassle of big cameras? The iPhone 17 Pro makes it simple! In my latest 4-minute video, I show exactly how I shot smooth, professional-looking footage while walking and running.

I even used my Oakley Meta HSTN for B-roll, capturing me holding the iPhone as my grandson and I tested its stabilization in action. With a Kodak LUT, the footage gets a warm, vintage film look that makes every moment feel cinematic.

Oakley Meta HSTN Smart Glasses: Perfect for Wildlife Photography & Staying Connected Outdoors

When you head outside to explore nature, the last thing you want is to be distracted by your phone. Whether you’re watching birds, photographing wildlife, or simply enjoying a peaceful outdoor hike, staying connected without digging through your pockets can make the experience so much better. That’s exactly where the Oakley Meta HSTN Smart Glasses shine.

In my newest video, I take the Oakley Meta HSTN out into a wildlife area to test how well they perform in a real outdoor environment. The results were impressive not just for everyday use, but especially for wildlife photography lovers and nature enthusiasts.

Hands-Free Convenience While Exploring Nature

One of the best features of the Meta HSTN is how easily you can stay connected without ever reaching for your phone.

With these glasses, I was able to:

  • Hear and respond to text messages clearly through the built-in audio system

  • Check the weather instantly

  • Access information quickly while staying focused on wildlife

  • Take photos if needed (thanks to the easy access to my phone’s camera features)

For someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, this convenience is a game-changer. Instead of breaking focus or missing a shot, everything is right there through your glasses.

Ideal for Wildlife Photography & Birdwatching

While exploring the wetlands and photographing birds, the Meta HSTN glasses stayed comfortable, lightweight, and secure. Oakley’s frame design provides excellent clarity and visibility, making them a great companion for photographers.

When you’re out in nature, every second counts, and not having to pull out your phone to check notifications or the weather makes the photography experience smoother and more enjoyable.

These smart glasses are especially useful for:

  • Birdwatching

  • Wildlife observation

  • Hiking and nature walks

  • Outdoor photography

  • Travel adventures

They blend style, protection, and smart technology seamlessly.

Style Meets Smart Tech

Oakley kept the bold, modern look of the HSTN frame while packing in impressive audio and smart features. The fit is comfortable, and the speakers provide clear sound without being intrusive. This makes them perfect not only for outdoor adventures but also for everyday use in the city, at work, or while driving.

Why the Oakley Meta HSTN Stands Out

If you’re searching for eyewear that does more than just look good, these glasses deliver a powerful combination of:

  • Style

  • Comfort

  • Clear, directional audio

  • Hands-free phone and messaging

  • Outdoor functionality

  • Compatibility with your smartphone

They’re ideal for creators, adventurers, photographers, and anyone who prefers staying connected without constantly holding a phone.

Oakley Meta HSTN Clear Frame Gets a Prizm Deep Water Makeover!

If you’re a fan of Oakley’s advanced lens technology, you’ve probably heard about the Prizm Deep Water Polarized lenses engineered for those bright, high-glare days when ordinary sunglasses just don’t cut it. In this review, we’ll take a look at how these lenses perform, what makes them different, and how they look on the Oakley Meta HSTN Clear Frame a stylish combo that turns heads and performs brilliantly outdoors.

Overview

Oakley’s Prizm Deep Water Polarized (DWP) lenses are designed for intense sunlight and reflective environments, especially around open water or bright roads. They enhance color and contrast, allowing your eyes to pick up detail that’s often washed out by glare.

Paired with the Meta HSTN Clear Frame, this setup delivers both premium aesthetics and top-tier optical performance. The clear frame gives a clean, modern look that allows the deep blue lenses to stand out beautifully.

Lens Specs & Technology

From Oakley’s official data and verified sources:

  • Light Transmission (VLT): 12%

  • Light Conditions: Bright Light

  • Base Lens Color: Rose

  • Technology: Prizm™ Contrast Enhancement + Polarized (Glare Reduction)

  • Lens Material: Plutonite® – blocks 100% of UVA, UVB, UVC, and harmful blue light up to 400 nm

  • Ideal Environment: Offshore, bright sunlight, open water, or high-glare driving conditions

These lenses are part of Oakley’s high-performance Prizm Polarized line, designed to fine-tune vision for specific environments. In the case of Deep Water, they filter excess blue light and boost reds and greens, allowing better contrast and improved visibility on or near reflective surfaces like water or asphalt.

Performance in Real Use

Mounted on the Meta HSTN Clear Frame, the Prizm Deep Water lenses not only look incredible but perform exceptionally well. The combination of the crystal-clear frame and the blue-tinted mirror finish creates a clean, futuristic aesthetic stylish enough for everyday wear and functional enough for demanding outdoor use.

  • ✅ Outdoor & Bright Days: These lenses shine in full sun. They cut glare dramatically, reduce eye strain, and make colors look more vivid without over-saturating them. Perfect for beaches, open roads, and reflective surfaces.

  • ✅ Driving: Excellent choice for mid-day or bright highway driving. Polarization helps eliminate dashboard and road glare, giving a sharp, relaxed view.

  • ⚠️ Low Light: Because of the dark 12% light transmission, once the sun drops or the sky clouds up, you’ll notice visibility drops quickly. At dusk or in shaded areas, you’ll likely need to remove them — they simply get too dark to see clearly.

Overall, for high-sun environments, the Deep Water lens performs exactly as advertised — it’s crisp, contrast-rich, and reduces glare better than most competitors.

How They Look on the Meta HSTN Clear Frame

The Meta HSTN Clear Frame is one of the best pairings for the Prizm Deep Water Polarized lenses. The contrast between the transparent frame and the deep blue mirrored lenses creates a striking modern style that’s both subtle and bold. It gives off a tech-inspired vibe that complements the Meta’s smart design and fits comfortably for daily use.

The mirrored surface of the Deep Water lens adds a professional finish that shifts between aqua and indigo hues, catching light beautifully outdoors. It’s not just a high-performance upgrade — it’s a fashion statement.

Real-World Style & Visibility

In real-world use, the Deep Water lenses live up to the Oakley reputation for crisp contrast, glare reduction, and true color enhancement. On the Meta HSTN Clear Frame, they look premium and unique, perfect for both function and fashion.

These lenses are ideal for:

  • Boating or water activities

  • Long drives or road trips

  • High-glare outdoor photography

  • Beach, lake, and mountain adventures

They’re less ideal for:

  • Overcast or dusk conditions

  • Indoor or shaded use

Final Thoughts

The Oakley Prizm Deep Water Polarized lenses are a high-end option for anyone spending time in bright outdoor conditions. They’re not just about blocking light; they enhance your visual experience by improving contrast and clarity. When paired with the Meta HSTN Clear Frame, the look is clean, modern, and undeniably stylish.

If you’re often outdoors, near water, or driving in bright light, this combination offers some of Oakley’s best visual performance to date. Just be prepared to swap them out when the sun goes down; their darkness is both their strength and their limitation.

Apex Sent a New Set! Oakley Meta HSTN Replacement Lenses Re-Tested – Big Improvement!

Apex Replacement Lenses for Oakley Meta HSTN – Second Set Review: Much Improved!

After reaching out to Apex about the issues I had with the first pair of replacement lenses for my Oakley Meta HSTN glasses, they quickly sent over a new set to test. I’ve been wearing these updated lenses for a few days now, and the difference is clear — literally.

Better Performance the Second Time Around

The first pair of lenses had noticeable internal reflections and glare when looking toward bright light or the sun. With the second set, those issues are significantly reduced. The glare problem that made the first set difficult to use outdoors seems to be resolved, and overall optical clarity has improved.

It’s great to see Apex take feedback seriously and respond with a better-quality product.

Build Quality & Design

The Apex lenses are well-built and look clean once installed. They’re slightly thinner than the original Oakley Transition lenses that came with the Meta glasses, but they fit well and feel light. The mirror finish looks great, though I’m curious to see how well it holds up over time.

In the past, I’ve had some Oakley lenses where the mirror coating started to peel after extended use — and Oakley doesn’t typically replace those under warranty — so that’s something I’ll be watching.

Cleaning & Smudge Resistance

One small thing I’ve noticed: smudges are a bit harder to clean on the inside of the lens compared to the outside. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s worth noting for those who like to keep their glasses spotless. I’ll continue testing this as I wear them more often.

Optical Performance

I chose the Polarized + Anti-Glare version, which is Apex’s premium option. The polarization works well — reflections are reduced, and the lenses are comfortable in bright sunlight.
However, in a direct comparison with Oakley’s original polarized lenses, Oakley still has a slight edge in overall glare reduction and visual crispness. Still, considering Oakley hasn’t released official replacements for the Meta HSTN, Apex’s offering performs impressively well.

Final Thoughts

After several days of testing, I can confidently say this second set from Apex is a big improvement over the first. They’re clear, comfortable, and stylish, with reduced glare and good visibility outdoors.

While I can’t yet speak to their long-term durability — especially regarding scratches or mirror finish fading — these lenses are currently the best available option for replacing Oakley Meta HSTN lenses.

If you’ve tried Apex lenses or found another manufacturer that makes replacements for the Meta HSTN, share your experience below — I’d love to hear what you think.

Oakley Meta HSTN Apex Lenses Review – Outdoor Performance & Style Test!

Discover how the Apex replacement lenses for the Oakley Meta HSTN sunglasses perform in real outdoor conditions. See how they compare to the original Oakley lenses in clarity, glare, and style.

First Impressions & Unboxing

When I first unboxed the Apex replacement lenses for my Oakley Meta HSTN sunglasses, the quality seemed impressive. The mirror coating looked premium, the lenses fit securely into the frame, and the finish gave my Meta glasses a sleek, upgraded look.
During the unboxing and initial indoor test, I didn’t notice any issues — in fact, they appeared resistant to fingerprints and smudges. That gave me a lot of hope for their real-world performance.

Outdoor Performance Test

Once I took them outdoors, the story changed slightly. Under natural sunlight, the lenses maintained their stylish mirrored finish and offered solid visual clarity. But when facing bright areas or direct sunlight, I began to notice internal glare and reflections inside the lenses.

For comparison, I tested them side-by-side with another pair of Oakley Meta HSTN glasses equipped with original Oakley Transition lenses. The difference was clear — the Oakley transitions handled glare more effectively and offered a cleaner, more balanced visual experience in bright light.

Another thing that stood out was smudge resistance. Indoors, the lenses stayed clean easily, but outdoors, the inside surface picked up fingerprints and smudges faster than I expected. It wasn’t extreme, but noticeable enough that it required more frequent cleaning.

Overall Quality & Value

The Apex lenses feel well-built and are definitely a cost-effective alternative for anyone needing replacement lenses — especially since Oakley hasn’t officially released Meta HSTN replacement lenses yet.
However, if you’re particular about glare reduction and long-term optical clarity, the Apex lenses fall just short of Oakley’s own performance standards.

Still, for casual wear and everyday use, they hold up well in terms of style, fit, and general comfort. They make your Meta HSTN frames look brand new again, and for many users, that alone makes them worth it.

Upcoming Official Oakley Replacement Lenses

After speaking with an Oakley representative, I was told that official replacement lenses for the Oakley Meta HSTN sunglasses are planned for release soon. While Oakley hasn’t made a formal public announcement yet, the rep mentioned that the price range will likely be between $107 and $129 USD.

As of now, there’s still no confirmed release date, and I haven’t been able to verify the details directly from Oakley’s official channels. But if true, it’s good news for Meta HSTN owners who’ve been waiting for genuine Oakley replacements.

Until those become available, Apex lenses remain one of the few viable options for anyone needing replacements right now.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking to bring your Oakley Meta HSTN sunglasses back to life without breaking the bank, the Apex replacement lenses are a solid temporary solution. Just be aware of the glare and smudge trade-offs, especially if you spend a lot of time in bright, reflective environments.
